We all have comfort blanket equivalents in our closet. Mine’s a pair of Levi’s Silver Tab jeans. Joanna’s (maybe you’ve heard of this letter called
?) is a Levi’s denim skirt. I’ve seen her in it once, and it turns out, it’s her go-to.
What I love about this skirt, and this pick for Joanna, is that it goes to show that your signature item doesn’t have to make sense to anyone else. A denim skirt for lounging by the pool? Sounds like torture to me. But for Jo, it’s a constant in her wardrobe after a decade of wear.
”My friends make fun of me all the time for wearing it, but I love it and so do men.” This is maybe the most succinct indorsement for a piece of clothing I’ve heard in a while. Not to bring numbers into this, but she thinks she’s at roughly ten cents cost per wear. Not too shabby.
The bad news for fans of Joanna and fans of this skirt in particular, is that the Ribcage Skirt is sold out. I’ll find secondhand options for you, don’t fret. But here’s the closest offering on the Levi’s site now.
