“Or order this new one and beat it up yourself.” if this lets you know where my brain is, I first read this as “beat yourself up” i.e. for not getting a secondhand shirt 🤣
Those (men's) rollneck sweaters show up at your better goodwills regularly; I don't think the guys that got them as gifts ever wore them (same with the wool)
Totally, you're right. Anyway I always carry a light sweater or scarf etc because of A/C so it could work. I'm in love with a brand designed in Miami made in Peru with the most delicious, softest, coziest 100% Pima cotton. Washes beautifully. I seldom take it off.
Praying the thrift gods make those red pleated silk pants appear at a thrift store by me this summer! The pleating really helps avoid a pajama vibe 👌🏻 My favorite thrifted 90s J Crew item is a dark gray speckled sweater that is all wool. I thrifted two of their cardigans that were made in Hong Kong like 15 years ago (one in dark green, one in hot pink) last weekend.

Sometimes I’m like…if I had an editor maybe these things would happen hahahah
Same!
This is a great post.

(Also appreciate your use of the term button-up)
Ty!!! And so true. They’re thrift store gold
If I wear my 1986 Gap rugby shit, will I look cool or just old?
So cool!!!
Also for everyone in Brooklyn the L train has tons of RL rugby shirts. I got 3 for $7 and some 501 authentic jorts? for $9 full 👀
Hot! Tip!
omg thats my cousin 🦀
I wasn’t aware I needed a cotton rolled neck sweater - but now I absolutely do!
My favorite 90's outfit was-rugby shirt, frye boots, levis and my grandmother's pearls. Would 100% wear that today...gotta find me a rugby shirt :)
Objectify perfect outfit
Such a throwback! I miss '90s styles sometimes because it was so comfy. Quirky, but comfy.
quirky but comfy—the best!
The RUGBY SHIRT, yes!! I used to steal my brother’s actual rugby shirt and wear it for fun. Blast from the past!
The real thing!!!
I thought it was just me. :)
Rugby polos are too hot for Florida though 🐊
Over the shoulders works ☀️

Only in seeing the header image did I feel a deep yearning for all the oversized pocket tees I had five years ago…
Might I add in a baseball/raglan tee here??
Of course!!
You killed this! Bravo 👏 ❤️💯
Thank you!!! So sweet
