Another excellent use of thrifted vases is a situation where you want to take flowers— to a hospital, sick friend, retirement home— where you know the person doesn’t want/need the vase, but you can’t be sure you’ll get it back. Spend $5, deliver the flowers, and if it comes back that’s a bonus!

I love shopgoodwill. I bought my autoharp there for a steal. Want to try a musical instrument you're not sure you'll be great or suck at? Buy secondhand!

I've been obsessed with ShopGoodwill for years. It definitely takes more digging and the photos/descriptions aren't always clear, BUT you can score incredible deals on true vintage.

Such fun. Question: Any tips for getting vintage sunglasses repaired + lenses replaced? (Or fave spots to get it done in NYC/Brooklyn?) I have an amazing pair of old Prada sunnies I found at a thrift store but they need serious TLC and I haven't been able to figure out where to get them taken care of!
